Howdy folks!

We've got some exciting changes in store for MacJukebox in the coming weeks (or months, depending on how it goes). We're looking for a G3/300 or better Mac to use as a dedicated streaming server. This machine doesn't have to be pretty, it doesn't even have to have a working display. We're looking for a minimum of 256MB RAM and a decent sized hard drive, but we can add those in if necessary.

Basically, it just needs to be able to run OS X, iTunes, and a streaming application.

Like I said, it doesn't have to be pretty, but it does have to be functional. Please let me know if you or anyone you know may have a machine that meets these requirements, and how much you'd like to have for it. (Cost is an issue here, since we're operating on pretty much no budget right now).

Please feel free to post in this thread, or email me at captkevman -at- mac -dot- com. Thanks!

I have a huge amount of bandwidth available to me from my dorm room. I can't exclusively dedicate my computer to running a streaming server, but if you remember way back when I used to run one for Taxx's Digital Studio Live off my 400 MHz iMac, I think my 1.467GHz G4 should be able to handle it. I think I remember how to run all the stuff.

Hey, Daniel, thanks for the offer. Smiling I know Kev's been busy lately, but I'll make sure he knows about it if he doesn't pop up in the next few days.
