| KORG microKONTROL Promotion |
Posted by CaptKevMan on Sun Nov 07, 2004 12:51 pm
For those still undecided on a keyboard controller for GarageBand, KORG is adding some incentives to lure buyers to their microKONTROL USB/MIDI keyboard.
For any microKONTROL purchased after September 1, 2004, Korg is bundling Ableton Live Lite 4(KORG Edition), SampleTank 2 (KORG Edition), and MDE-X.
Ableton Live Lite 4 Korg Edition is a lite, yet surprisingly powerful version of the cutting-edge Ableeton Live 4 loop-based audio/MIDI sequence software.
SampleTank 2 Korg Edition is a special version of IK Multimedia's standard-setting rompler software SampleTank 2 Free, which comes with over 150MB of custom sounds.
MDE-X is the full version of KORG Legacy Collection's multi-effect plug-in software – 19 great-sounding effects.
For anyone who purchased a KORG microKONTROL after September 1, 2004 (in the U.S.), who did not receive the above-mentioned bundle, the redemption form can be downloaded from KORG's website.
Editor's note: I'm just now posting this promotion after recently becoming aware of it myself. Having just recently purchased a microKONTROL, I hope to be able to write a review of it in the upcoming weeks. -CKM

| "(We're) not dead yet!" |

I realize there's not much happening on MacJukebox at the moment; for that, I apologize.
Until I can either
(a) learn PHP and webprogramming myself, or
(b) find a reliable team to help with the building and management of the site,
then things are going to be moving at a snail's pace around here for a while.
I have a lot of exciting changes planned for MacJukebox (sneak peek at the new design), but those changes do require a lot of technical knowledge that I just don't have at the moment. I realize that MacJukebox is just a shell of what it used to be (and what it could potentially be), and it has been very difficult for me to see it stagnate in this pre-development hell for so long. I don't know how many times I've felt like throwing in the towel on the whole thing, but if I did that, it would be quitting: I promised myself I'd see this project through.
Anyhow, in the meantime, please feel free to share your songs in our jukebox, and discuss your work, your Mac(s), GarageBand, or anything else in our forums.
As always, I welcome any suggestions, feedback, and/or assistance. Thanks so very much to everyone who continues to check on us from time to time...we'll be back, and we'll be better than ever! (We're just not exactly sure when yet... )
Sincerely,
Kevin "CaptKevMan" Copeland
